Year 11 Graduation

1 July 2019

The sea of blue and smiling faces marked the end of an era for this year’s incredible Year 11 students. The proud parents attended in their numbers to join the Academy, in not only celebrating the outstanding achievements of the children, but to also honour the hard work of the Headteacher, Mr Choudhury, who worked tirelessly to ensure that the young people of Heartlands Academy received the best possible education.

Students proudly awarded the Headteacher a gift, which included many heartfelt thanks for the dedication and commitment that he has shown. Destiny Hall, Heartland’s very own shining star, picked up the Headteacher’s Award, for her unwavering commitment to her education. Both Year 11 Learning Manager, Mr Riasat and Assistant Headteacher, Mrs Price, spoke fondly of the cohort and shared many special memories of the students.

Year 11 tutors also came together to speak about how proud they were of their students and to wish them the best of luck in their future ventures. The evening also included a heartfelt message from the Headteacher, who said that he will miss the students of Heartlands Academy as he moves on to his new role as Regional Education Director for the West Midlands.
